- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, plumbing, welding or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
- Ability to care for and use the tools and equipment utilized in the trades involved.
- Ability to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustments.
- Ability to lead a small group of semi-skilled workers.
- Ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate and/or utilize basic lawn care and snow removal equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and to work under adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to field locations and meeting/training sites by motor vehicle when required.
- To work under a variety of adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, dust and snow.
- To be able to work extended hours under adverse conditions in response to emergency conditions.
- To work in hazardous situations such as around moving heavy equipment, in and around traffic, at heights, on steep grades, and on ladders and uneven surfaces.
- Employee must be able to observe and react to hazardous warnings, back-up alarms, flashing lights, voice commands and hand signals.
- To perform manual laboring duties such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Setting up, operating, testing and measuring equipment.
- Using hand tools such as hammers and pry bars, and taking and transporting material samples.
- Work often requires stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching and prolonged standing.
- To withstand exposure to chemical agents, exhaust gases and lubricants, solvents, poisonous plants, animals, and insects and potential injuries such as bruises, scrapes, cuts, strains and sprains.
- To wear all types of required protective gear such as a hard hat, footgear, hearing and eye protection, gloves and respirators.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invite applicants for a Maintenance Repairman 2- Refrigeration/Electrical.
SUMMARY:
This is a journeyman position that requires independent and collaborative work on allrefrigerationand electrical needs within the campus and the KCAC.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday
7:00am - 3:00pm
