This role is a part of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team here on the production floor


The Role:

In this position, the operator is running the machine, setting it up and completing basic inspection to make sure the parts have been placed correctly as the board runs through the machine process.

The operator is consistently on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment during the entire shift.

Responsibilities & QualificationsYou will spend your time:
Perform machine setup and operate SMT equipment Operate SMT machine during product run Change component reels as needed Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorMaintain clean and orderly workstations and equipmentFollow prescribed safety regulationsComplete tasks as designated by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervisionPerform electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes using hand tools and electronic toolsMay rotate to various workstations as requiredOther duties as assignedWe are excited about you if you have: Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and processesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to be on your feet for a 10-hour shift Team-orientated and dependableGood eye/hand coordinationStrong attention to detailAbility to work overtime with notice when necessary on weekdays and weekendsAbility to read and speak English Must be at least 16-17 years old (for minors under 18 years of age proof of age required)

Parental permission required if under 18 years of agePhysical Demands:

Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials (0-10 lbs.) up to 50% of time workedMust be able to lift up to 10-30 pounds, chest height up to 5% of time worked.

Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching and walking
