Position Summary:
The Senior Budget & Financial Analyst-PRMS focuses on build-to-rent communities, assisting with analyzing community financials, reporting and budget preparation.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to jump into data and quickly understand next steps, while also being able to articulate those next steps to a non-expert.
This role reports to the Director of Analytics, Underwriting & Budgets-PRMS and supports PRMS and its clients. This role requires a strong attention to detail with an eye for calling out key metrics while also identifying opportunities to "disrupt for good" by continually looking for ways to improve existing processesEssential Functions:
Prepare monthly preliminary financials and variance reports
Collaborate with Accounting on researching preliminary questions from the field ops team
Review financials and identify items for additional review
Prepare lease up and stabilized budgets for both existing and potential clients
Collaborate with various teams on reviewing budget and underwriting assumptions
Maintain a detailed record of assumption support and definitions
Maintain budget file templates
Maintain a record of the budget process and document process changes
Prepare market surveys to determine proposed rents for potential clients
Train and coach team members
Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or financ e
CPA preferred
5+ years' experience in real estate finance in an accounting function
Experience with collaborating with multiple departments on budgets
Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting
Real Estate/Property Management experience required
Yardi experience required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, INDIRECT, XLOOKUP)
Attention to detail
Ability to complete work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and maintaining
expectations
Must have the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment while adapting to change
