    ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the FAA NAS ESS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract. Join our growing team as a Program/Project Planner Level 2 in support of the FAA's AJW-1432 team. The AJW-1432 team provides support for the FAA's Beacon Interrogator and SBS Monitor systems.

    Responsibilities


    The Program Planner/Scheduler supports managers, engineers, and other planners/schedulers in the development and maintenance of project level schedules and a program level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

    Maintain weekly status, variance analysis, and deliver monthly reports.

    Utilizing MS Project, or similar tool, the candidate will develop and manage multiple project level schedules and ensure that these project schedules are accurately incorporated into a higher-level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

    The IMS will be developed and managed at various tiers (detail, intermediate, summary) for separate teams and will integrate team projects and resources.

    Use previous scheduling experience to integrate current team business processes and incorporate project information (resources, scope dictionaries, etc.) into the IMS.

    Lead and maintain weekly status of the schedules.
    Provide monthly status to Program Managers and identify schedule status, critical path, coordinate schedule variance mitigation strategies.

    Other ad-hoc analyses may be required; candidate must be able to work in a dynamic environment, and be flexible, independent, and proactive in their responsibilities.

    Assist others in day-to-day operations.
    Apply limited experience and detailed knowledge to plan and accomplish tasks.
    Have some understanding of how administrative assignments contribute to the activities of the organizational unit.

    Demonstrate some independence in planning time, but frequently coordinate with a Technical Manager or more experienced employee to prioritize tasks and use assigned resources.

    Work with other employees, both contract and federal, to share information and/or discuss the status of assigned tasks.
    Work under general instructions provided by a Technical Manager or more experienced employee.

    Occasionally refers problems and work issues to a Technical Manager or more experienced employee when guidelines are not available or applicable.

    May assist in developing and recommending solutions on some occasions.

    Work will be reviewed at major stages of assigned tasks and at completion to ensure timeliness and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or work activities.

    Work activities typically support the work of other employees and contribute to the activities of the organizational unit.

    Experience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is highly desirable.
    Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required)

    Education/Experience

    A Bachelor Degree or Higher is preferred.

    Minimum 5 years work experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) within Microsoft Project or other industry-accepted tools used for scheduling is required.

    Must have excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar tools.
    The program/project planner must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
    Candidates must have a strong background in industry scheduling best practices.
    Experience with the FAA Earned Value Management System and Government Accountability Office (GAO) scheduling best practice guide is preferred.
    PMP is also beneficial.
    Must have strong verbal and written skills.
    Must be able to effectively communicate with project engineers and other maintainers of higher-level integrated master schedules.
