    Description

    Job description: Bark Media is a content marketing agency based in Lawrence, Kansas, specializing in impact business and nonprofits across the nation. Bark Media seeks a design lead who is passionate about using art and design to tell compelling stories and market products and initiatives in the digital space, all in an effort to help drive the movements working to better our world. The design lead will manage the creation of design assets for all Bark clients while maintaining strong, cohesive client branding. Assets may include presentation assets, white papers, landing page mockups, email templates, marketing concepts and templates, social media creative, and more. The design lead will drive the design department, assigning tasks as needed to associate-level employees and helping to manage and establish processes and structures.

    Required skills:

    • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing an array of tasks for multiple clients
    • Strong design skills, with the ability to adjust aesthetics based on client branding and needs
    • Strong organizational skills with a focus on understanding multiple priorities
    • Ability to delegate tasks to design associates and interns as needed to achieve company-wide goals
    • Comfort collaborating closely with internal team members as well as client teams
    • Comfort with technical systems including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, G-suite, email service providers (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).

    Preferred/beneficial skills:

    • Agency experience
    • Management experience
    • Knowledge of/familiarity with impact business, cause marketing, social justice work, and/or movement-building
    • Basic video and audio editing skills
    • Experience working in CMS systems/front-end development

    Compensation:

    • Starting at $50,000 annual salary
