    Clinical Services Specialists - RN

    Clinical Services Specialists are responsible for managing the day-to-day healthcare operations of a community to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met. They supervise licensed nurses and other direct care staff within the community, oversee and validate all resident care to ensure needs are met and that care is provided in accordance with physician orders, care plans, policies/procedures, and state and federal regulations.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community
    • Supervises licensed nurses and other direct care staff
    • Oversees and validates all resident care
    • Provides training and education to resident care associates
    • Participates in department quality improvement activities
    • Shares on-call and manager-on-duty responsibilities/shifts as required

    Education and Experience:

    • RN license required
    • Five years of skilled nursing experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or District/Regional Nurse Consultant required
    • Certification in Infection Prevention/Control and RAI process preferred

    Working Conditions

    Physical Demands:

    • Standing
    • Walking
    • Sitting
    • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections
    • Potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents

    Management/Decision Making

    Decision Making:

    Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department. Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example, reasonableness, or a combination of these.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Possesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment
