    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    To perform this job successfully, a team member must be able to perform each essential duty to standard.     • Downstream Casino and Resort Internal Control System and Check Cashing policy.
    • Documents all cage functions to create manuals for each cage bank.
    • Updates manuals for changes for new procedures or changes in existing procedures.
    • Secures all training rooms and materials and is responsible for the organization of the same.
    • Documents training matrix's and outlines for each training session.
    • Maintains training records for all Team Members.
    • At the conclusion of training, evaluates Team Members abilities.
    • Identifies, prioritizes and resolves problems which occur during training and communicates important information to the Cage Manager or Shift Managers.
    • May act as a relief Cage Supervisor to cover for scheduled vacations and must maintain a working knowledge of the Cage Operations for a given shift.
    • Conducts initial interviews for all phases of Cage Operations and schedules second interviews with Cage Manager and Director of Finance.
    • Must be flexible in scheduling as a trainer.
    • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
    • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
    • Attends all necessary training meetings.
    • Assist in other projects, as directed.
    • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous Cage Supervisory experience required.
    • Ability to author, read and interpret training manuals. Must have a
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Downstream Casino Internal Controls, department and company
    • Policies and procedures. Ability to write routine training reports and speak effectively to co-workers and guests. Concisely communicates problems, ideas and concerns to management on a timely basis.
    • Team Member should be able to perform math problems. Basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication knowledge required.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and technical written or oral instructions. Ability to identify, prioritize and resolve problems.
    • Team Member is responsible for answering guest questions about Downstream property, as well as TGA questions regarding job specific. Demonstrates leadership by example and is "hands on" when business required. Demonstrates initiative and contributes ideas.
    • Demonstrates attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment in work situations requiring individual decisions.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
    • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide and to perform these operations using units of US currency.
    • Excellent guest relation skills and an ability to be attentive and anticipate all guest needs.
    • Must be able to obtain valid gaming license.
    • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
    • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
    • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
    • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
    • The Cage Trainer is required to speak as well as stand for long periods of time during training sessions.
    • They must address guest and co-workers with a professional demeanor.
    PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK DEMANDS

    • Must have the physical ability to work with extreme weather as well as the ability to lift 80 lbs, to squat, stand or bend repeatedly.
    • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
    • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
    • Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the Casino for a lengthy period of time – up to eight (8) hours.
