Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer.
To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.Summary:
Provides engineering support for all aspects of assigned product line to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Identify opportunities to reduce, eliminate or replace non-value added work with automationDevelop machine setup parameters and processesEvaluate repeat offenders for downtime; maintenance and productionDetermine control points to improve machine reliabilityProcess Audits/Product Verification AuditsAssist in developing and maintain the work order systemPerform and coordinate Time StudiesEvaluate vendors in terms of price and quality ie straight guides, drive shaftsCreate SOI'sThrough the use of drawings and specifications, assist in or purchase spare parts and consumablesEvaluate reasons and possible sources of variationDrive OEE improvements through machine improvements or machine maintenance practicesAssist w/ incoming inspection of spare parts that are SPC CTQAssist w/ routing maintenanceDrive projects to evaluate and improve performance through cost sheetsAnalyze yield loss root causes and suggest improvement actionsPeriod analysis of routing to align with Best PracticesEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related field or two to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PLC experience is desired.
