    What You'll Do:

    You will work alongside professional engineers and scientists with various backgrounds and areas of expertise. You will support the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of software products for various government programs, commercial industry partnerships, and internal research and development efforts. You will leverage and learn about Agile DevOps, modern development environments, and software development best practices and design principles.

    You will learn and grow professionally and technically, with the opportunity to gain real-world experience and help solve challenging problems. For COOPs and Interns this is a chance to work with seasoned software developers who have mastered a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and built numerous production quality applications. You will get to see how your academic knowledge gets applied to projects in an operational environment.

    • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and improving your skills
    • Be familiar with object-oriented programming principles and associated languages (e.g., C++, Python, Java)
    • Welcome the opportunity of collaborating on a team using DevOps tools and concepts
    • Be self-motivated and work well in team environments
    • Have cross-platform development experience (Linux and Windows)
    • Have a willingness to formally document your code and products
    Education/Credentials:
    • Current enrollment in a 4+ year STEM degree program
      • Preferred majors: Computer Engineering or Computer Science
    • US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
      • Nice to have - Secret level clearance
      • Acceptable - No current clearance but eligibility to obtain
    Location:
    • Candidates must be within commuting distance of our office in Huntsville, AL for the summer and have reliable transportation
    Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods
