Position Overview
As a Journeyman Plumber, you will independently perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of plumbing and gas systems. You'll work both on service calls and contract projects, ensuring all work meets company standards, local codes, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping, fixtures, water heaters, boilers, gas lines, and related plumbing systems.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for contract jobs.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and company SOPs.
- Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and supervisors.
- Complete accurate job documentation and reports using Field Pulse or similar software.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and company vehicle.
- Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced team members as needed.
- Respond to emergency calls and participate in the on-call rotation as required.
- Attend required trainings and safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Journeyman Plumber license (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a plumber, including service and/or contract work.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Able to pass background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable with mobile apps for scheduling and reporting.
