At Merida Biosciences we are pioneering true precision medicines for antibody-driven diseases We specifically target pathogenic antibodies and their cellular sources with bespoke Fc biotherapeutics engineered to selectively and completely eliminate the root causes of autoimmune and allergic diseases and to achieve deep durable responses while preserving essential immunity We are looking for passionate individuals to join our mission to transform treatment paradigms across the spectrum of antibody-driven diseasesthe company is seeking a hands-on scientifically rigorous Associate Director of Translational Biomarkers to join our Translational Research team reporting to the VP of Translational Research In this role you will bridge the gap between discovery research and clinical development by taking ownership of biomarker assay development implementation in clinical studies You will work closely with the Research team to optimize characterize complex assays for robustness before transferring them external partners You will oversee their qualification or fit-for-purpose validation oversee lifecycle these assays support our clinical trials in antibody-driven diseases This hybrid role requiring willingness work lab ensure assay readiness combined operational acumen manage external partners deliver high-quality data Key Responsibilities: Proactively collaboratively design refine biomarker strategies interrogate mechanism action create value from Merida clinical studies Working hands-on closely with the Research team develop optimize innovative exploratory biomarker assays clinical readiness ensuring they optimized robustness reproducibility prior transfer These assays may based flow cytometry ELISPOT MSD other platforms Identify select manage external CROs specialty labs clinical biomarker testing Oversee transfer qualification validation biomarker assays at CROs ensuring alignment regulatory expectations clinical timelines Monitor ongoing assay performance data quality during clinical trials provide real-time interpretation troubleshooting Partner Clinical Clinical Operations help define sample collection logistics support generation quality data Contribute technical content biomarker-related sections study protocols laboratory manuals regulatory documents e.g IND IB Analyze interpret communicate complex biomarker data internal decision-making Qualifications PhD Immunology Cell Biology Pharmacology related discipline years relevant industry experience OR MS/BS years experience Extensive hands-on developing optimizing Flow Cytometry ELISPOT multiplexed ligand binding assays e.g MSD Luminex Proven experience tech transferring assays CROs managing vendors validation analysis Experience working clinic-stage biotech environment strong understanding “fit-for-purpose” principles Skills Competencies Strong understanding cellular immunology cytokine biology particularly context autoimmune or antibody-driven diseases Ability successfully fast-paced matrixed team environment competing priorities Excellent problem-solving skills ability follow follow connect technical problems operational solutions Strong verbal written communication skills ability summarize cross-functional teams Compensation understand compensation important part considering new opportunity goal transparent surprises end process feel confident offer fair equitable support that sharing hiring range role upfront typically Associate Director level target $200000 $240000 final offer take into account number factors including your skills location market data internal equity Along competitive salary proud comprehensive benefits package designed support you personally professionally Merida Biosciences equal employment employer discriminate employee applicant basis age color disability gender national origin race religion sexual orientation veteran status classification protected federal state local law Note Employment Agencies Please do not forward agency resumes The company responsible fees related unsolicited

  • PhD Immunology Cell Biology Pharmacology related discipline years relevant industry experience OR MS/BS years experience

  • Proven experience tech transferring asserts CRO managing vendor valuation analysis
