    SambaNova is hiring a

    Senior Physical Design Engineer

    who will be responsible for developing and maintaining synthesis and physical composition flow utilizing leading industry tools.

    In this role, you will play a unique and critical role in the development of the SambaNova DataScale system and you will be provided with cross-functional learning across the hardware and software stack with opportunities for growth in a fast-growing AI system company.

    Responsibilities
    Develop and maintain synthesis and physical composition flow utilizing leading industry tools, such as Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler, Genus / Innovus
    Work closely with physical designers to address a diverse range of flow and design issues
    Collaborate with tool venders to address tool bugs and flow enhancement
    Basic Qualifications
    BS or MS in EE, ECE
    5+ years of industry experience in physical design engineering
    Additional Required Qualifications
    Strong understanding of RTL-to-GDS flow and methodologies, with focus on synthesis and place and route
    Proficiency in scripting languages, such as TCL, Perl and Python
    Strong debugging skills
    Solid understanding of physical design rules, especially for advanced technology nodes 5nm and beyond
    Familiarity with physical design reference flow and methodologies
    Annual Salary Range and Level
    The base salary for this position ranges from $140,000/year up to $180,000/year.

    This range is based on role, level, and location and reflects the salary target for new hires in the US.

    Individual pay within the range will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
