Assistant Project Manager and a Drafter
Assistant Project Manager / Draftsman
This position is responsible for drafting construction documents and maintaining support to senior project managers throughout the construction process on multiple commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Ability to understand and communicate with trades & vendors regarding their scope of work
Identify and qualify prospective subcontracts and vendors for specific scope
Works with the project team to prepare and update progress schedules, including short-term interval schedules
Communicates with subcontractors to complete tasks in conjunction with the master schedule.
Act as liaison with architects, sub-contractors, vendors, inspectors and owner's representatives in resolving issues related to plans and specifications.
Oversee the close-out process collecting final close out records, warranties, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals
Checks, approves and transmits submittals, Prepares and manages RFIs and maintains RFI log
Responsible for timely material deliveries and coordinates logistics
Prepare quantity takeoffs
Prepare & follow up on permit applications
Required Skills
A degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Architecture or a related field
Systematic organizational & problem solving skills
Team Player
Ability to prioritize and muti-task within time constraints
Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have understanding of commercial construction management process
Must have 1 yr of field experience in commercial construction
Proficient with the following software platforms (Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Excel & Bluebeam Revu)
Ability to interpret plans, diagrams & blueprints
Thorough and detailed orientated
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of standard construction divisions and trades
Knowledge of all project aspects from conceptions to completion
Represent the company in a professional manner
Your responsibilities as an architectural draftsmen will be as follows:
Draw Construction Plans (conceptual, details, redlines, finals).
Research building codes and incorporate into the plans.
Research building materials & details that may add value engineering, aesthetics and sustainability to our projects.

Proficient use of Revit.
Work 7:30A - 5:00PM Monday through Friday.
Vacation / Holidays
10days per year
6 Paid Holidays, New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
