- Develop, implement, and maintain the environmental compliance programs including all regulatory permits
- Manage and maintain the PSM, SWPP, SPCC, wastewater, and Air permitting regulatory programs
- Monitor and analyze Environmental data and trends to present recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
- Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation reports
- Prepare, review, and submit annual compliance reports (Tier II, Title V Air, etc.)
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and on-going operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental compliance across all company activities
- Engage with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to address environmental concerns and ensure adherence to environmental law and policies
- Develop and manage chemical inventory and approval process and storage management
- Support Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team as needed
- Ability to travel 20-25% to Freshpet facilities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in environmental engineering or related role
- Working knowledge of PSM, SWPP, SPCC, wastewater, and Air permitting
- Experience managing environmental compliance tasks
- Experience with anhydrous ammonia systems preferred
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office computer software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
- Well-developed organizational and communication skills
