    About us:
    Aeva is building the next generation of sensing and perception for autonomous vehicles and beyond.

    With its unique ability to measure instantaneous velocity for each pixel, long-range performance at high resolutions, while being free from LiDAR or sunlight interference, Aeva's 4D LiDAR is built from the ground up at silicon photonics scale for mass-market applications.


    Role Overview:


    We are looking for a software engineer with a focus on developing signal processing algorithms in production as well as simulation platforms.


    What you'll do:
    Design and develop signal processing, detection, and optimization algorithms in C++ in production software and simulation platformsTranslate floating-point models to fixed-point for optimal implementation on ARM processors and FPGAsBe involved in all stages of algorithm development including data collection, analysis, development, and testParticipate in the team's development processes, including requirements and design documentation, test-plan generation and execution, peer design and code reviews, process feedback, and improvementsWhat you have:

    Master's degree with 2+ years of industry experience working on software development for signal processing applications or a Ph.

    with a focus on signal processing or communication systems3+ years of experience in developing C/C++ applications with a focus on algorithm designGood fundamentals in signal processing, probability theory, mathematics, and excellent problem-solving skillsExperience with quantitative data analysis and simulation software (Matlab preferred)Willingness to learn, ability to communicate well, and demonstrate healthy drive and energy to understand and solve complex system-level problemsNice to have:

    Experience working on simulation platforms to model hardware systemsWorked on fixed-point algorithm implementation on low-end processorsKnowledge of advanced signal processing algorithms for radar/lidar/communication systemsExperience working on point cloud processing and filteringWhat's in it for you:
