    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a Home Health position, VA PT license and CPR required.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a home health setting serving a diverse patient population
    • Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
    • Responsible for 6 to 7 weighted visits per day
    • Weekend coverage required for orthopedic cases every 4th or 5th weekend
    • Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate
    • MatrixCare or Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
    • Plan and administer physical therapy treatments to restore function and relieve pain
    • Provide education and support to patients and caregivers
    • Participate in discharge planning and complete all required documentation
    • Direct patient participation in tasks to enhance performance
    • Weekend work is limited to orthopedic cases
    • Two professional references required for consideration
    • PDF copy of driver's license and Social Security number required

    Requirements

    • Active VA PT State License required if applicable
    • Current CPR certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
    • Home Health experience preferred
    • No prior license or background issues will be considered
    • Open to first-time travelers
