Right now, we are actively seeking a skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team at our Woodstock, Georgia location. This role will initially offer a blend of responsibilities, shifting to a hybrid nature post-training.

    Job Purpose:

    In this position, you will play a crucial role in utilizing SMART (our exclusive software) for Standard Plan components and infrastructure design to ensure precise purchase order quantities. Your collaboration with the team will be vital in implementing any necessary modifications within SMART.

    Your primary focus will involve spearheading new initiatives for project estimates and plan estimations. Additionally, your expertise will be leaned upon for aiding in the training of fellow estimators when required.

    What You'll Do:
    1. Maintain the SMART estimating database, introducing enhancements in product structure.
    2. Collaborate with other estimators to uphold best practices.
    3. Cooperate with management to integrate new projects into SMART, which includes incorporating marketable plans to align with CICs timeline for approved deals.
    4. Precisely conduct quantity takeoffs for new plans and input them into the plan structure format within the SMART database.
    5. Develop and preserve retail catalogs and option standard books, encompassing color selections.
    6. Contribute to the establishment and upkeep of the Construction Schedule.
    7. Champion novel strategies for enhancing cost efficiency and quality in plans and estimates.
    8. Supervise the creation of standards books and perform margin comparisons.
    Minimum Job Requirements:

    Education:

    • Four-year college degree
    Experience:
    • At least two years of experience in home building estimating software
    • Familiarity with techniques, methods, and terminology of residential construction
    • Two years of experience in residential estimating
    • Background in building construction or related field is advantageous
    Computer Skills:
    • More than a year of experience in Planswift
    • More than a year of experience in Pipeline estimating software
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
    • Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD) is beneficial
