Description

Emergent Talent, a division of Emergent Method, is seeking a qualified and dynamic data analytics consultant to lead analytics maintenance and enhancement activities for a large client project.

The data analytics consultant will oversee and execute a spectrum of analytics-related tasks, collaborating closely with client personnel and the project team.

The primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing analytics solutions, ensuring they align with the evolving needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, and adept in handling various tasks related to data analytics.

This individual must be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace the challenges of working with evolving work tasks and structures.

This is a full-time, project-based, remote position with some opportunity for travel.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to understand their needs and develop, execute, and maintain data-based solutions and applications
Develop, validate, and deliver ad hoc reports based on client requirements
Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements for new or enhanced reports or dashboards
Create comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder requirements
Work closely with development team members to build, validate, and enhance dashboards, as well as troubleshoot and resolve bugs related to dashboards or ETL jobs
Create dashboard mock-ups or prototypes using Tableau for stakeholder review
Generate and update technical documentation for analytics solutions
Develop and deliver training content, providing ongoing user support for the available dashboard suite
Prepare and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions, actively supporting UAT activities
Ensure data integrity is upheld by performing various quality-assurance tasks
Stay updated on trends and new products by exploring innovative opportunities to deliver custom solutions supporting client needs
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or a related field
Three to five years of experience in designing and developing complex analytics solutions, with a minimum of one year in a lead capacity
Proficiency in Tableau or a similar visualization tool is required
Mid-level experience in developing and tuning SQL queries
Proven experience in testing and validating reports and dashboards, including the creation of relevant documentation
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
Demonstrated experience working independently with user stakeholders to facilitate requirements gathering sessions and design sessions while actively supporting UAT
Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate client needs
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, both written and orally
Ability to multitask and support multiple priorities at once
Experience in the Health and Human Services or Medicaid preferred
