    Job Details

    Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a full-time Youth Care Worker to join our team of professionals. This position will be responsible for the supervision of youth in our residential program.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Supervision of residents
    • Work schedule: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Weekend shifts are required
    • All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program on a schedule of M - F 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    • Ability to be a positive role model
    • Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents
    • Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times
    • Maintain complete and accurate resident records
    • Ability to manage personal stress
    • Administer appropriate medication(s)
    • Knowledge of policy and procedure manual
    • Transportation of residents
    • Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit
    • Ability to work with youth of all ages
    • Previous work with juveniles highly preferred
    • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills
    • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
    • Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming

    Requirements

    • Must be 21 years old
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred
    • Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance
    • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen
