Job summary
The Medical Assistant verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and documenting purpose of visit. They prepare patients for examination, assist in procedures as appropriate and perform a variety of patient care tasks under the supervision of a licensed health care provider.Responsibilities
- Maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Using computer applications- performing any data entry tasks to document patient demographics, records or note to file.
- Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments when necessary.
