    Job Description

    Meriwether Godsey is in search of a Director of Dining Services to oversee the food production program and special events at an independent, co-ed college preparatory school in Potomac, MD. The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary and management skills, a vision for excellence, creativity, and a commitment to diversity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support account activities to ensure smooth operations and uphold the MG brand
    • Assist in financial planning, budget analysis, and reporting to achieve goals
    • Lead, develop, and coach team members while setting an example
    • Oversee meal preparation and menu development incorporating latest trends
    • Manage high-end catering, including planning and execution
    • Foster inclusivity, maintain client relationships, and ensure HACCP standards
    • Handle personnel functions like recruitment, growth, and performance monitoring

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years in Contract Food Service Operation and Catering Management
    • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
    • Proficiency in food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
    • Collaborative approach, ServSafe certification, and knowledge of sustainable practices
    • Awareness of current food trends and Covid-19 vaccination may be required
