Overview
The Office of Prosecution Services is looking for a self-motivated individual with an interest in event management to grow our team as we expand our team at the National Computer Forensic Institute (NCFI).
The NCFI is the nation's premier law enforcement training facility in cyber and electronic crime forensics. We seek to educate state, local, tribal, territorial law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges in the continually evolving cyber and electronic crime related threats, and educate, train and equip them with the tools necessary for forensic examinations to combat those crimes.
The Program Assistant will be a full-time employee of the Alabama Office of Prosecution Services (OPS) and work out of the NCFI facility in Hoover, AL. Responsibilities of the PA will include:
- Handling general inquiries about NCFI via phone or email
- Managing logistics and oversight for legal training courses at the NCFI. This includes extensive communication with NCFI judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement to ensure a seamless, organized, and professional experience.
- Conducting data entry for classes, such as keeping track of student counts, states represented, and contact information
- Coordinating virtual training by creating the meeting, contacting instructors & students, moderating, creating course questions and answers
- Being on call to deal with hotel and flight logistical issues
- Coordinating breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for classes as well as being the point of contact for activities after hours (i.e., Civil Rights Museum, 16th Street Baptist Church, etc.)
- Creating and analyzing evaluation forms about the course & instructors
- Creating class certificates, CLE forms, & thumb drives for each course
- Setting up classrooms for the upcoming course, including cleaning, setting up seating arrangements (tent cards), and creating class folders with relevant material to the course
Qualifications
The PA must have a minimum of GED or high school diploma. Preferably, the candidate should have an associate's degree or higher.
The PA needs a minimum of one year of experience working in a customer service field and is comfortable working with a variety of office programs. The candidate must be highly efficient when multitasking.
