    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Stepdown position requiring a GA or compact license and at least 18 months of recent experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Position is in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown setting within a hospital
    • Care is provided to stepdown-level patients requiring cardiac and telemetry monitoring
    • 12-hour night shifts are required
    • No on-call responsibilities
    • Assignment length is 13 weeks
    • Strict rules apply for requested time off: a maximum of five days if not during a holiday period and three days if during or near a holiday
    • Only one holiday time-off request will be approved per assignment
    • Time-off requests spanning multiple consecutive holidays will not be approved
    • Travelers can only submit to one position at a time within this health system

    Requirements

    • Active GA or compact RN license in hand
    • Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience required
    • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
    • Former staff must have been separated from Emory and Houston health systems for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
