Jefferson Methodist Hospital (JMH) is a 13-suite Operating Room (only 2 miles south of Center City hospital). OR Nurses assist in General, URO, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Sports Medicine, Vascular, Spines, and Should, Elbow, and Hand Surgery.Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience (JHN) is a 10-suite unit intended to meet the needs of surgical patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Surgical specialties include neurosurgery, ophthalmology, chronic pain management, otolaryngology, and plastic surgery.Jefferson Surgery Center (JSC) is a hospital-based outpatient surgical center offering services including gynecological and breast procedures, orthopedic foot and ankle surgeries, general surgery and laparoscopic cases, as well as ENT and endoscopies.
The facility is comprised of a pre-operative holding/admission area, 4 fully functioning operating rooms and a 2 phase recovery room/discharge lounge.
Nurses at JSC participate in shared governance and execute many daily decisions which impact patient flow and the delivery of high quality care.
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check.
