    Responsibilities and Job Details:

    • Develop and implement engaging English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students.
    • Provide instruction in English language acquisition, literacy, and language development, utilizing both on-site and virtual platforms.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community stakeholders to support students' linguistic and academic growth.
    • Comfortably integrate ASL and Portuguese into instructional practices to meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Participate in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and activities as required.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL, preferably in a K-6 setting.
    • Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) and Portuguese preferred.
    • Experience working with diverse student populations and English Language Learners (ELLs).

    Education and Licensure:

    • Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license in ESL.
    • Bachelor's degree in Education, ESL, Linguistics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

    Job Specifics:

    • Full-time position for the academic year, including Extended School Year (ESY) programming.
    • Open to both on-site and virtual instruction, with flexibility in scheduling.
    • Liability insurance may be required for independent contractors.
