    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This position is responsible for all tasks related to catering special functions and cafeteria deli.

    Tasks include but are not limited to:

    set up, clean up, ordering supplies, communication with customers, preparing food for catering and deli, paperwork associated with catering.

    The position must complete all tasks following JCAHO, state and facility requirements. # EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION #High School Diploma or equivalent. Annual mandatory ECHN education is required.

    #EXPERIENCE A minimum of #2 years food service experience preferred Prior catering experience preferred COMPETENCIES Good organizational and time management skills.

    Can manage multiple priorities. Must be able to read and communicate both verbally and in writing in English. Must be able to perform basic math skills to complete any needed paperwork.

    Must be able to consistently exhibit good interpersonal relations with co-workers Must maintain a strong customer service attitude as demonstrated by behavior when communicating and interacting with customers.

    Must be able to follow written instructions Must demonstrate good judgment when responding to customer requests.

    Must be able to adapt to last minute requests Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of catering requests Must be able to push/pull carts with catering supplies throughout the campus include outdoors.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:

    Ability to complete the day to day tasks of catering / deli including: Prepare food and items for catering / deli.

    Function# / Station Set up Function / Station Clean up Communication with customers and co-workers Willingness to assist co-workers and adjust daily work routines for dept.

    needs Sets up, restocks, and maintains a clean work station following all sanitation and safety requirements. Labels, dates, and properly rotates stock. Follows standardized recipes and par sheets for hot and cold foods. Stocks grab and go cooler in an attractive and organized manner. Serves customers following standardized portions. Complete catering paper work Inventory and assess catering supplies Place orders for needed supplies Able to establish effective and collaborative relationships with customers Follows all ECHN, JCAHO and Regulatory policies and requirements
