    The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a faculty position to be filled at any rank from tenure-track assistant professor to full professor with tenure.

    Candidates from any area of pure mathematics are encouraged to apply. All candidates should have an outstanding record in research and be committed to excellence in teaching. Duties include research, service, and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
    PhD is required at the time of appointment. Candidates for all ranks must have excellent scholarship and promise for future development. Candidates for a tenured position should also have strong publishing and teaching records. Candidates for professor should be widely recognized for their distinction and professional accomplishment.

    Candidates for associate professor should possess a demonstrated record of professional achievement and show great promise of attaining distinction in their fields of specialization.

    Candidates for assistant professor should have completed successful graduate training and are beginning a career of independent professional accomplishment.
