Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions is looking for a qualified Welder to assist their fabrication team at its Norfolk, VA Service Center. This position involves working on a team responsible for the manufacture and upkeep of several permanent and mobile specialized water purification systems. The Welder Fabricator will fabricate and weld pipe and various metals to support the production and manufacturing of specialized water treatment equipment.
Fabricates parts to build specialized equipment
Reads blueprints to facilitate the building of specialized equipment
Cuts various materials using saw, torch, plasma and other methods
Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience with shipping containers and water treatment equipment
Must be certified in forklift operation within 90 days of employment
Must have minimum welding toolsshield, gloves, leathers, basic tools
Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipefitting, fabrication, and operation of drill press, belt sander, band saw, ironworker and bench grinder
Welding certification
Knowledge of basic inventory control concepts
Knowledge of basic quality control concepts
