    Position Title:
    Electrical & Controls Manager

    Shift:
    Days Mon-Friday. On call as needed

    Compensation:
    $95k- $135K base, full benefit package (Direct Hire)


    Overview:


    We are seeking an experienced Manager in Controls Engineering with a background as an Industrial Electrician to oversee and manage the ongoing operations, maintenance, and optimization of control systems within our manufacturing facility.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation as an industrial electrician, with expertise in Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7/TIA, Allen Bradley Controllogix), HMI/SCADA systems, and control design standards.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Technical Oversight:


    Develop, maintain, and enforce controls design and programming standards, leveraging industrial electrician expertise and journeyman status, emphasizing proficiency to ensure seamless plant operations.

    Collaborate with the maintenance, production, and management to review equipment specifications, ensuring alignment with operational goals and standards.

    Coordinate ongoing control design assignments, utilizing industrial electrician experience and journeyman skills to ensure the reliability and efficiency of control systems.


    Operations Support:
    Oversee manufacturing support for equipment, including in-house pre-commissioning, testing.

    Provide hands-on guidance and instruction to maintenance personnel on Electrical Systems equipment, specifically related to RexRoth Indramat, KBA, and EAE controls, utilizing industrial electrician expertise.


    Maintenance and Optimization:


    Analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements or upgrades, leveraging industrial electrician experience and journeyman skills to enhance plant efficiency.

    Supervise tests of equipment under operational conditions, utilizing industrial electrician insights to obtain data for ongoing development, standardization, and quality control.

    Working hand in hand with outside vendors and support to maintain and improve production performance.


    Team Leadership:
    Lead the Electrical team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support in troubleshooting challenges related to installed equipment, maintenance, and upgrades.
    Evaluating, hiring, training and developing electricians and technicians within the plant.


    Qualifications/Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.

    5+ years of progressive experience in Controls Engineering, with a background as an Industrial Electrician and current or former journeyman status, demonstrating expertise and managing complex control systems within a manufacturing plant environment.

    Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7/TIA, Allen Bradley Controllogix), HMI/SCADA systems, and control design standards.


    Skills and Competencies:


    Demonstrated experience in overseeing controls design and programming standards, emphasizing industrial electrician knowledge and journeyman status, coupled with strong leadership in an operational setting.

    Exceptional operational management skills to ensure seamless control system operations, troubleshoot issues, and oversee equipment testing.
    Ability to analyze equipment performance data and drive ongoing improvements involving 24v to 480v systems
    Excellent communication skills to lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and provide ongoing operational support and training.
