    The Cyber Security Analyst provides first level technical support in protecting NCCN's digital assets by managing mitigation and monitoring of internal and external threats. This position will be responsible for real-time security monitoring and response to various types of cyber security incidents. The major function of the position is to analyze network traffic, endpoint indicators, and various log sources to identify the threat, assess the potential damage, and recommend countermeasures. This position will also be responsible for the cyber security training for the entire company and testing of security systems.

    Requirements

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    As Cyber Security Analyst you will:

    • Respond to and resolve security alerts when possible (Security alerts include antivirus, firewall, network monitoring and email monitoring)
    • Monitor computer networks and systems for threats and security breaches
    • Install, alter, and update security software
    • Responsible for companywide security training and simulated phishing attacks
    • Examines reports, data, and analytics to identify suspicious activity and threats
    • Communication with the Operations Team and/or third-party support systems to further investigate alerts and breaches that cannot be easily resolved
    • Respond to and resolve help desk calls in a courteous, patient manner. Requests include VPN connectivity, hardware/software, and network connectivity issues
    • Troubleshoot computer problems
    • Maintain general knowledge of and experience with current Microsoft client operating systems and Microsoft Office 365
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
    • Previous experience in cyber security
    • Previous experience in end user support
    • Security+ or similar certification is a plus, but not required
    • Experience with Meraki, Mimecast, Darktrace, SentinelOne, and Knowbe4 is a plus, but not required
    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • The ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing a business to flourish
    • Ability to monitor and respond to security alerts from antivirus, firewall, network monitoring and email monitoring during normal business hours and at times after hours
    • General knowledge of, and experience with, current operating systems and software, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365
    • Strong organizational and communications skills
    • Problem-solving ability with excellent multi-tasking skills
    • Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction
    • Ability to work closely with the operations team and external security teams to escalate security issues
    • Ability and desire to learn new technologies and to stay up-to-date on the latest security threats
