    Position at Animal Medical Center of Forney

    Animal Medical Center of Forney is currently seeking a Part-Time Pet Resort Assistant. The perfect candidate would be a dedicated and reliable animal lover. Previous animal care experience a plus.
    Pet Resort Assistant Description:
    Pet Resort Assistants maintain clean, healthy, and safe kennel conditions while providing regularly scheduled feed and water, and exercise of AMCF guests. Our Pet Resort Attendants specialize in providing the kind of individual care that help pets to adapt to and enjoy their temporary environment.

    Our ideal Pet Resort Assistant:
    • Feel strongly about providing high-quality patient care
    • Have a friendly & outgoing personality
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to challenges positively
    • Be punctual and have weekend, weekday, and some holiday availability
    • Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
    • Not be afraid to get dirty
    Pet Resort Assistant Responsibilities:
    • Prepare feed for animals according to specific instructions
    • Record important information about the animals' condition, behavior and habits. Report any abnormal findings to a technician
    • Perform baths, nail trims and express anal glands to patients
    • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the clinic and property
    • Assist with laundry and keep the area neat and organized
    • Hold or restrain animals while assisting the Dr or Technician
    • Alert a lead technician or the Dr of any abnormal findings with patients/boarders
