Experienced Senior Financial Analyst Opportunity

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
Masters' Degree in Accounting highly preferred
CPA designation required
4-7 years of experience in public accounting or SEC reporting environment
Good understanding of US GAAP and proficiency in preparing financial statements and financial analysis using advanced Microsoft Office/Excel
Experience with PeopleSoft and/or ledger systems required, familiarity with Hyperion, Wdesk, Kyriba, and xbrl preferred
Strong ability to assist in establishing, modifying, documenting, and implementing reporting methods and control procedures
Capable of providing advanced problem-solving and complex analysis support to analysts, consultants, and managers
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

SEC Reporting Compliance

Reviewing US GAAP disclosures in Forms 10-Q/K for SEC registrants and their subsidiaries
Conducting 1st level reviews of US GAAP and statutory disclosures, including complex disclosures
Ensuring adherence to reporting protocols by guiding less experienced team members

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting disclosures
Overseeing interactions between team members and functional areas
Developing and utilizing analytical reports to validate US GAAP and statutory disclosures
Providing guidance on analytics usage to support financial report accuracy
Managing the financial reporting timeline to ensure timeliness and accuracy of information

Project Management and Audit Support

Interacting with internal and external auditors as necessary
Leading and supporting audit initiatives
Recommending process improvements and leading problem-solving sessions
Providing functional advice to junior analysts and offshore resources
Assisting in various projects and process improvement initiatives related to financial reporting tools
