DuPage Eye Surgery Center is a busy ophthalmology surgery center seeking a full/part time certified surgical technologist. Hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday no weekends or major holidays.
Responsibilities
Prepares room for surgical case by getting necessary

supplies/equipment.
Follows protocol for room prep and turnaround.
Maintains sterile field throughout operative procedures.
Follows safe operating procedures for the department and utilizes supplies in a cost effective manner.
Ability to meet the needs of the department with regular, reliable attendance.
Employee maintains current certifications required for the position.
Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
Completes all education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
Qualifications
Be a graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician program or equivalent with a certification.
Have at least 2-3 years experience scrubbing ophthalmology cases.
CPR certified.

Experience:
Ophthalmology scrubbing: 2 years (Preferred)


License/Certification:
BLS Certification (Preferred)
Certified Surgical Technologist (Required)
