    We are currently seeking an innovative Lead. Supplier Industrialization Engineer.

    GD&T-Tooling Management (Program Manager, Advanced Product Quality (APQ)) to contribute, promote and drive best-in-class product quality at the various stages of product development process.

    This is a high-performance role that would have significant visibility to both within and outside the organization, and will require technical expertise, passion, interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence outcomes, work through complexity and fast- paced environment, and establishing credibility with peers and senior management.

    To ensure success, you should have deep professional technical experience implementing quality and reliability best practices, innovations and ensure validation.

    You will combine your expertise to advance product excellence and innovation.

    Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to lead teams and to strive for product validation within a fast-paced environment.

    The successful candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination and will have a strong track record of quality program management, preferably in an automotive or parallel industry environment.


    You Will:
    Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development.

    Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence for casting and stamping environmentsPlan and lead product quality requirement at various product development stagesCollaborate and lead APQP, DFMEA, DVPR, DFQ/DFM reviews and validationCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain to achieve product excellence goalsManage and report performance metrics timely to diagnose and prioritize issuesContribute ideas and best practices to successful quality gatesFacilitate and lead quality resolutions and innovations and continual improvementsDocument processes and compliance with ISO9001, AIAG/ IATF16949, ISO26262 industry standardsSupport Leading the development of dimensional validation process for different systems and subsystems within a given architectureSupport creating measurement point routines to validate critical requirements developed on drawingsAnalyze data from supplier and assembly plant builds to assess capability of meeting dimensional requirements required to complete buildSupport assembly plant and manufacturing on all build issue resolution projects and quality improvement projectsMaintain a list of critical product and process characteristics and controlling their geometry in vehicle builds to produce quality assembliesSupport gauging methods and perform data analysis to identify special and common cause problems.

    Support with Developing, validating, and incorporating total vehicle Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirementsSupport with design and production of all assembly fixtures used in body shopSupport manufacturing with assembly line layouts and total vehicle production by providing relative dimensional input, direction, and supportTrack and report on all program dimensional specification requirements and progress towards 100% complianceSupport in Defining preliminary dimensional control plan including datum's, drawing requirements, and measurement point routine for part quality definitionSupport in Resolving dimensional specifications not meeting established targets to meet 100% complianceSupport Dimensional Engineering software capabilities:

    CM4D, 3DCS, Catia V5-6Create 3DCS analysis virtual models for BIW, exterior, and interior trim to simulate assembly process and predict main sources of variation of the systemDrive recommendations to reduce variation and balance requirementsAssist in development and implementation of training material within the assembly plant to inform production team members of quality control opportunities root causing dimensional issues and works with cross-functional teams to recommend and evaluate corrective actionsDocumenting quality issues and driving process standardization through World class manufacturing methodologies.

    Interior and exterior dimensional validation, documenting and root cause findings from build issues and part variationLeading cross functional teams through root cause analysis, launch support and interfacing with suppliers to lead the drive on corrective actionsPrepare dimensional improvement projects and coordinate with other groups if needed to drive to completion during non-productive hoursSupport Metrology experience with Scanner Romer Arm, CMM Statistical problem-solving techniques; Statistical process control - 6SigmaSupport Quality Metrology Technician will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements by performing inspections of individual components, stampings, castings, and supplier partsSupport multiple projects, utilizing various skill sets in a highly dynamic and diverse working environmentProgramming and operation of stationary measurement equipment to support monitoring of production processes, commissioning of new production and root cause activitiesLiaise with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teamsSupport manufacturing processes for application in measurement study requirementsSupport and Apply measurement best practices for special investigationsSupport datum scheme requirements and applications along with GD&TUtilize metrology equipment to collect tactile and scan data and output detailed reports to communicate key findingsSupport Body-In-White Data Analyzer/Vision Monitoring system used to solve dimensional variation problemsSupport manufacturing techniques in a stamping manufacturing environment with extensive aluminum Class A, BIW and Closures parts.

    Equipment, tooling, metal stamping, assembly, and testing. (Tandem, progressive, blanking, and transfer stamping)


    Assist with design and design modifications for tooling, fixtures, and gaugesSupport design and build without engineering plans/blueprints - specify tooling and materials needed for jobsSupport Plan, lay out and support all bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair tools, fixtures, gauges, etc.

    Support difficult machining operations requiring complicated set-ups involving the improvising of tooling and machines for adaptations beyond the normal range and capacities of available equipmentVerify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicatorsPerform complicated repairs and/or major adjustments to tooling and fixturing to produce parts to desired specificationsGD&T fixture review and buy offParticipate in Supplier Industrialization activities for Die and fixturing improvementsYou Bring:

    Bachelor's degree in technical – Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electrical EngineeringTechnical Master's degree preferredMinimum 8 years of advanced product quality (APQP) experience in technical program managementAutomotive industry experience preferred around Stamping and Casting disciplines/departmentsAdvanced knowledge of the full life cycle of product quality gates during product developmentPractical Problem Solving, DFMEA, DFM, APQP, Lean Six Sigma and ASQ CQA CertificationsExceptional timely communication and interpersonal skillsAt Lucid, we don't just welcome diversity - we celebrate it Lucid Motors is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.

    Salary Range:
    The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors
