Description

AMMON Staffing is recruiting for a Material Handler that would be responsible for operating a forklift or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and handheld devices is advantageous.
• Certification or willingness to obtain certification in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.

Responsibilities:

1. Efficiently pull product orders according to order sheets and established procedures.
2. Retrieve items from designated storage areas using manual or mechanical equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
3. Verify item codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
4. Securely package pulled items and apply appropriate labels for shipping or processing.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
7. Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor immediately.
8. Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
9. Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet deadlines.
