    Requirements:
    • Valid and active California Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science
    • At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years
    • Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
    Responsibilities:
    • The temporary/relief MFT will provide services within MFT practice limits, adhering to facility policies. Under the supervision of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker or their designee, the MFT's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform assessments and provide clinical interventions, including counseling (group and individual).
    • Collaborate with other professionals, contribute to care planning, and coordinate interdisciplinary care.
    • Assist in transitional care planning, connecting patients with community resources upon release.
    • Assess and deliver intervention, education, and counseling services in marriage, couples, family, and individual contexts, with specific solution-focused therapeutic goals.
    • Administer Cognitive Behavior Therapy for individuals with Substance Use Disorders, both individually and in groups, to modify behaviors.
    • Conduct assessments for patients preparing for release.
    • Offer education and counseling to develop life skills and address Substance Use Disorder-related issues.
    • Contribute to treatment and care plans.
    • Review patient records, gather data, and complete necessary documentation.
    • Make recommendations to care teams, foster effective communication, and collaborate with patients and other disciplines.
    • Document and assess patient progress in programs, assisting with discharges and transfers in coordination with other rehabilitation programs.
    • Collaborate with institutional partners and custody staff to evaluate patient participation and progress.
    • Attend required case conferences, meetings, training sessions, and committees, and perform additional duties as necessary.
