    Speech Language Pathologist – In-House Skilled Nursing Facility Position

    We seek a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our skilled nursing facility team. Ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and be motivated to provide exceptional patient care.

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    • Current SLP license in MD
    • Experience in skilled nursing or short-term rehab setting preferred, but new graduates welcome.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for patient-centered care.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's rehab goals.
    • Collaborate with other therapy professionals to provide comprehensive care.
    • Document patient progress in compliance with state and federal regulations.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position; lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects. Stand for long periods, walk, bend and stretch.
    • The employee must be capable of exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, equipment and/or patients.
    • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend or crouch; use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, lift and perform medium to maximum transfer assists with patients.
    • The employee works mostly inside patient rooms or a clinic. This position is classified as a Category I for the purpose of exposure determination under the OSHA regulations regarding the Standard of Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens (29 CFR 1910.1030).
