At TLC we are committed to our vision of creating pathways to a world of possibilities We care deeply about the individuals we serve their families and the dedicated team members who make our mission possible Our core values reflect the significance of the work we do and guide us in fulfilling our purpose as an organization Responsibilities Always maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record and be responsible for driving Center vans or other vehicles Report any and all traffic citations to personnel office immediately and in writing Provide quality nursing care to all person served Assist with all health care policies procedures and services including but not limited to treatment procedures/therapy procedures including familiarity with tracheostomy care g-tube and j-tube care BiPaP oxygen administration venipuncture skills medication administration Assess supervise daily health care medical needs of person served ensure safe therapeutic manner Provide input into nursing programmatic policies procedures Assist implement carry out properly Keep comprehensive accurate records updated laws regulations ICF/IDD regulations Perform related assigned tasks stocking supplies ordering cleaning work area administer yearly TB tests staff Consult staff on health-related issues work-related injuries Orientation training new staff areas healthcare orientation nurses Shift assignments role nursing Participate quarterly assessment progress notes person served duties assigned Maintain effective safe productive environment Attend meetings Complete infection control reports ongoing basis monthly report Director Nursing Maintain up-date first aid boxes vehicles transport persons Maintain liaison between programs doctors parents/guardians Conduct in-service training staff healthcare subjects approved Director Nursing Related duties shift designated Clinical Lead Supervisor/DON Participate shift coverage designated supervisor rotation as designated All other duties assigned Special Qualification Current validated license practice Registered Nurse LPN North Carolina Certification First Aid CPR Minimum Education/Experience Graduation accredited school nursing Preference experience pediatrics developmental disabilities IDC school nurse experience Recruitment Standards Considerable knowledge sound caring techniques ability apply skills work environment General knowledge laws regulations practices govern practice nursing Ability provide leadership supervision instruction non-licensed staff Establish effective working relationships families guardians Center Knowledge applicable local state federal regulations facility Learn established standards principles associated ICF IDD regulations Must have local telephone Valid NC driver's license insurable agency insurance carrier Ability lift independently assist situations Willingness participate call duties designed Available shifts Monday-Friday Saturday/Sunday PRN positions available TLC equal opportunity employer
