    Description
    Entry level, full-time, hourly position involving the installation of components for building automation systems. We are seeking a diligent and self-driven worker with attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be teachable, with a propensity to learn and open to constructive criticism.


    Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Install HVAC and building automation controls on new construction, remodeled, and service locations.
    • Install communication and control wire in various locations, including above ceiling grid, through interior and exterior walls, in tight crawl spaces, or in high places.
    • Install control devices in sometimes hard-to-reach locations.
    • Install controllers and terminate wires for sensors and actuators using a wiring diagram.

    Skills and Job Requirements:

    • At least a one-year technical certificate in HVAC or equivalent from an accredited institution or at least 2 years of experience in an HVAC-related field.
    • Possess an aptitude for electrical wiring and reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
    • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications for a project.
    • Able to bend conduit to fit an a specific application.
    • Able to climb ladders and work at moderate heights (mostly between 20 and 30 feet).
    • Able to carry equipment up to 75 lbs. for distances up to 300 yards.
    • Willing to work after hours and on weekends when necessary.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Possess a desire and aptitude to eventually lead a crew.
    • Possess a basic set of tools (screwdrivers, drill, etc.).
    • Implementing quality control procedures for the Field Operations to ensure the most optimal customer service, efficient use of equipment and time, and meeting of departmental strategic and budgetary goals.

    Company Requirements:

    • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a company vehicle if necessary (must be 21 years of age).
    • Must pass a drug screening test.
