    Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented

    Senior

    Radar/Signal Processing Engineer

    to join our Dayton, Ohio office.

    The candidate will join a diverse team primarily focused the modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of aerospace weapons, sensors, and related command-and-control entities.


    The candidate must have interest or experience in the scientific design and computational analysis of radars (ground-based or airborne), missile seekers, and aircraft sensors.

    The candidate will work with a highly technical team of engineers to design and implement firmware and software for RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators.

    Most of the work supports the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, NSIC, MSIC, NGIC, ONI) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate.

    This challenging position requires a diverse set of technical and task management skills and allows for the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work.


    Qualifications:


    Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field from an accredited institute with a minimum of 4 years of directly applicable work history or a Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

    Solid understanding of radar, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or RF communication theory
    Solid C/C++ coding experience/abilities with understanding of object-oriented software principles

    Candidate must have strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.

    Candidate must be a resident of the Dayton, OH area or be willing to relocate to the Dayton, OH area.


    Desired Skills:
    Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field is a plus
    Experience with RFSoC / VHDL / FPGA design practices and tools
    Working knowledge of radar, electronic warfare (EW), digital signal processing (DSP), ELINT, and/or SIGINT


    Security Requirements:


    Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $81, $146,875.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

    Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
