    Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead various teams including engineers in supporting outside plant engineering.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership team and establish relevant processes for departments.
  • Represent the company with Cities and Municipalities and other permitting entities.
  • Evaluate technical aspects of contracts relevant to the discipline, make recommendations, and collaborate with legal team.
  • Oversee engineering deadlines.
  • Analyze and approve OSP design aspects and course of action for OSP new technologies and types of services.
  • Ensure teams comply to established OSP processes.
  • Evaluate and approve OSP methods and procedures for official company OSP design, documentation, and guidelines.
  • Significantly enhance current software relevancy, conduct needs analysis and implementation of new software.
  • Manage OSP design team.
  • Evaluate, develop, and drive day-to day execution of department metrics.
  • Assess and approve new vendors based on technical aspects, capacity, and negotiate rates based on market.
  • Participate in internal and external technical and networking events.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or other Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 10 years of field experience in planning, designing and OSP construction.
  • Proven technical and substantial industry experience.
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills.
  • Industry-related experience preferred.
