    La Rabida is currently recruiting full-time, Staff Registered Nurses/(RN) to join our inpatient nursing department in Chicago, IL.

    We are a small children's acute care hospital focused on treating complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and abuse and trauma.

    Our nurses are focused on providing exceptional patient care to children while helping families face unique challenges. The Staff Registered Nurses will report to nursing leadership.

    The RN role focuses on developing skills to guide him/her over a continuum of basic patient care through more complex assignments and assessing the needs of chronically ill children using effective communication with patients, families, and team members.

    The RN uses the nursing process in a family-centered interdisciplinary context to coordinate care and achieve team goals and objectives.


    Essential Staff Registered Nurse Functions:
    Complete and document initial and ongoing assessmentsCarry out interventions and evaluate them against desired goalsDemonstrate Unit specific skills and competenciesFollow chain of command for problem resolutionProvide patient/family educationDelegate patient care tasks to other members of the teamApproach the care of your patients with a family-centered lensWork daily to help raise possibilities for our patientsWorks collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes

    What we need from you:
