    Description

    Superintendent – Ground-Up Commercial Construction

    Location: Huntsville, Alabama

    Salary: $120,000 – $160,000

    Industry: Commercial Construction | General Contractor

    A well-established General Contractor with a strong backlog of work in Huntsville is seeking an experienced Ground-Up Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects from site development through final completion.

    This opportunity is ideal for a Superintendent who takes ownership of projects "out of the ground" — managing sitework, foundations, structural phases, and full build-out while driving schedule, safety, and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead ground-up commercial construction projects from sitework through turnover
    • Manage daily jobsite operations and subcontractor coordination
    • Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules
    • Oversee safety compliance and quality control standards
    • Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Engineers
    • Proactively resolve field issues to maintain schedule and budget

    Required Experience

    • 5+ years' experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
    • Proven experience delivering ground-up projects (sitework, slab, structure, envelope)
    • Experience working for a General Contractor
    • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
    • Ability to manage multiple trades in a fast-paced environment
