    Analog Photonics OverviewAnalog Photonics is a fast-growing silicon photonic technology startup. We use our proprietary silicon photonic platform to serve automotive, communications, consumer, and defense markets with innovative, chip-scale solutions.
    ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering teamOversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projectsPropose new programs, both government and commercialCollaborate with team leads to ensure alignment on project goalsProvide both internal and external technical updates on engineering projectsCommunicate with customers to understand market needs and present product offeringsResponsible for interviewing and hiring new full-time engineers and internsQualifications

    Minimum Requirements:
    M.S. (Ph.
    D. preferred) in electrical engineering, applied physics, or related field.

    Strong experience in proposal writing and answering funding calls10+ years of leading an engineering program in the optical communications/photonics space.

    Experience designing products in both commercial and defenseExperience in optical design:
    refractive/reflective/diffractive components, lasers or displays for microscopy, LiDAR, optical networking, or consumer applications.

    Experience executing on a product design schedule/leading reviewsExperience interacting with presenting technical product data to external customersTechnical hardware design experience building chip-scale solutions.

    Ability to generate technical content for product developmentAbility to travel as needed.
