Job Description Job Description We have a 1-year hybrid Business Analyst contract that may be extended by our client for another 1 year.
The Business Analyst agrees to collaborate with our client, as needed, to determine a schedule for onsite work, when necessary, as required by our client to successfully provide the required services.
Our client administers a critical services stabilization program, which assists state agencies and departments in identifying and resolving threats to the delivery of critical services.
Our client services stabilization program accomplishes this mission by performing assessments of service delivery environments and then making recommendations on how best to remediate the vulnerabilities identified by those assessments.
Our client services stabilization program assessment team partners with the agency or department to learn the system's role in providing critical services and to understand its stability and scalability.
Each assessment results in a report with a series of findings and associated recommendations to improve the health of the critical services.
Our client partners with the system stakeholders and key state staff to implement the recommendations provided in the report.The implementation of report recommendations periodically requires expertise or extended time commitments that cannot be met by the state organizations.
To ensure that these recommendations are properly addressed, our client relies on contracted support to fill any gaps.The contracting and onboarding process for new resources can be lengthy and does not support implementing recommendations in a timely manner.
A review has been conducted of all recommendations issued our clients' stabilization assessment team and three positions have been identified, that if held in retainer can be utilized to address many recommendations integral to the health of the assessed systems.
The Business Analyst will fulfill a typical analytical role, assisting with process refinement and improvement.Some likely tasks for the Business Analyst include:
Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting application requirements.
Developing application solution requirements.
Business process evaluation and improvement.
Guiding the development and maintenance of procedures.
Assisting with the review and optimization of data models.
Minimum Qualifications5 years' experience eliciting, documenting, analyzing, communicating, and verifying requirements.5 years' experience acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or IT team.5 years' experience analyzing and communicating stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into solution requirements.5 years' experience using business modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success.5 years' experience evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, and identifying areas for process improvement.5 years' experience leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.5 years' experience gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing ad hoc reports as required.5 years' experience updating and maintaining procedures and process documentation.5 years' experience monitoring analysis deliverables and ensuring timely completion and delivery of project artifacts.
Desirable QualificationsBachelor's degree.Experience may be substituted for education and documented evidence of that experience must be provided.2 years of experience working on IT projects in support of governmental agencies.
Current certification in business analysis (i.e. CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, CPRE, or other equivalent industry certification).1 year of experience working on IT projects where a CRM platform was utilized.Minimum Application RequirementsYour application will be disqualified if you do not meet all these minimum application requirements.
