    The IMS group was developed to grow Applied's business by solving difficult challenges customers face with scaling, power, performance, area and cost. Applied has the unique capability to leverage a wide range of process technology capabilities to offer new solutions through deeper, more collaborative customer engagements. The purpose of this Business Development role is to provide expertise and support as Applied builds a portfolio of profitable, win-win customer engagements.

    This person will report into SPG's Business Management and Customer Strategies Team and will work with existing customers, Account Teams and BUs. They will drive and support financial and other business analytic activity, participate in the customer engagement strategy, strategy execution, create and present business documents, manage meeting activity and drive closure of follow up actions. The role will have exposure to executive level corporate and Acct Team Management and will require some travel (~10-25%).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the business strategy formation for IMS customer engagements
    • Supports internal and external collateral creation tied to the Exec strategy and objectives
    • Drives Acct Team and Customer focused alignment and communication throughout a project duration
    • Work within a team to respond and support the needs of Executive Level customer interactions
    • Partner with the engineering team to sync business strategy with technical engagement status
    • Partner with BU product marketing and BM to effectively communicate and execute program deliverables
    • Report on customer projects status, financials, gaps, lessons learned and next steps
    • Escalation of issues to management

    Experience:

    • Bachelor's or Masters degree, ideally in a technical discipline
    • 10+ years of related work experience
    • Excellent communication skills, including active listening and questioning to really understand what customers need, and their alternatives
    • Fluent English language and experience communicating with people from different countries on the phone and in-person
    • Business savvy – understands business basics
    • Customer empathy
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Experience influencing action without owning resources
    • Experience in managing customer projects together with the engineering team
    • Experience managing and leading multiple projects
    • Experience in product marketing, product management a plus

    U.S. Salary Range:

    $196, $269,500.00

    The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

    For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
