    The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Full-time Gastroenterology Hospitalist for Mount Sinai Queens Hospital.


    Phenomenal opportunity to serve as a GI Hospitalist at Mount Sinai Queens Hospital in Astoria Astoria is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in New York City, with diverse cultural offerings, world class restaurants, cafes, excellent public transportation, and nearby parks and public spaces.


    Mount Sinai Queens is seeking a board certified GI physician to join an expanding GI program which includes experienced advanced practice providers.

    Duties include managing hospitalized patients, inpatient procedural services, screening colonoscopies and consultations. A competitive salary, full benefits including health, dental, life and malpractice insurance and paid time off. The ideal candidate will have had experience in multiple GI procedures (ERCP/EUS not required). The candidate will work closely with a strong inpatient and outpatient team.


    Bringing together skilled physicians and the expertise of one of the world's leading academic medical centers, Mount Sinai Queens combines high level training and advanced resources with a personalized range of care under one roof, from primary care and women's health services (OB/GYN) to cardiology, orthopedics, spine and more.


    While working in conjunction with Hospitalist and specialists, as well as administrative staff members, the ideal candidates will give excellent care to a diverse community of patients that need treatment for a broad spectrum of Gastroenterology conditions and diseases, and will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction.

    The successful candidate for this position will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or higher commensurate with experience) in the Department of Gastroenterology in the world-renowned Icahn School of Medicine.

    The chosen candidate must have excellent clinical skills and a passion for Gastroenterology.

    Our systemwide Gastroenterology division is integral to establishing practice standards, metrics, and protocols for Gastroenterology care quality across the Mount Sinai Health System.


    The successful candidate has the option to teach Gastroenterology residents on electives from our ACGME-approved Gastroenterology residency programs, as well as medical students on electives from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

    Responsibilities


    • Serve a diverse population and live in a culturally diverse neighborhood
    • Support Staff: Nurse Aide's, Registered Nurses, PA's, full service on site imaging center
    • EMR system: Epic
    • No research or administrative responsibilities required; teaching is optional

    Qualifications


    • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
    • New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology

    Compensation range from 350K to 450K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

    Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

    Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.

    As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.

    The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
