    DH Pace Company, Inc. , is looking for an Estimating Manager to join our team in Olathe, KS .

    With minimal supervision, the Estimating Manager will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate, timely, and competitive bids for Commercial Industrial Door and Loading Dock Systems while working to support our sales staff, resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships.

    Knowledge and/or experience in the construction or building materials industry is strongly preferred.

    Job Responsibilities:
    Will assist with hiring, training, and developing new employees
    Estimate / Bid public, private, conceptual, negotiated and hard bid projects.
    Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
    Manage multiple estimates simultaneously from conception to completion.

    Rapidly develops or possess advanced level skills at using DH Pace estimating processes and procedures and utilizing DH Pace estimating software as well as other business software programs.

    (Excel, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, BAAN, SAM, etc.)
    Rapidly develops understanding of Core Product Lines, Vendors, Labor Standards
    Educates sales team on product options and assist customers in product selection to ensure sale and best project outcome.
    Promote and maintain a positive attitude toward outside contractors, architects and individuals within the Company regardless of the circumstances
    Understand vendor relationships and build strong relationships with contacts.
    Meet or exceed annual estimating volume expectations as warranted based on experience level or length of time in the position
    Ability to manage time effectively while sustaining individual and team workloads
    Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Minimum two (2) years of commercial door/dock work experience *OR* minimum two (2) years of new construction commercial estimating experience *OR* minimum two (2) years of building material industry is strongly preferred.

    Experience with Blueprints/Plans and Specs highly desired
    Must have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
    Must have good verbal and written communication skills
    Must have excellent customer service skills
    Ability to manage time effectively while sustaining individual and team workloads
    Ability to work Overtime as required
    Possess strong mathematical skills
    Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office desirable
