- Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Special Education, the School Psychologist will provide evaluative services to students who are referred to special education and to students who require triennial reevaluations
- Professionally write and present legally defensible psychoeducational reports at IEP meetings, and engage excellent judgment skills to make recommendations on special education eligibility
- Stay organized in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, with attention to timing and detail, especially in regards to legal timelines for assessments
- Collaborate with families, special education teachers, and general education teachers to ensure psychoeducational reports present a holistic picture of student needs
- Serve as the gate-keeper of special education referrals, and make decisions on which intervention path is best for individual students
- Engage with families around the special education pre-referral and referral process, as well as effectively articulate decisions that are made based on evaluations
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience. The start rate for this role is $87,776 and goes up based on experience.
