    NICU Registered Nurse (RN) travel opportunity — 8-week night shift assignment in Utica, NY. Seeking experienced Level II/III neonatal nurses for a fast-paced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Central New York.

    • Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) — Level II/III
    • Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (night shift NICU RN)
    • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
    • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2210/week
    • Unit Details: 8–13 NICU beds (private rooms), additional open bay overflow
    • RN Ratio: 1:1 to 1:3
    • Employment Type: Travel nurse / contract

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years NICU RN experience (Level II or III required; 3+ years preferred)
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or state license as required)
    • BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required at time of submission
    • PALS and STABLE certifications required prior to start (willingness to obtain if not current)
    • Epic EMR experience required (Epic documentation skills for NICU)
    • Ability to float to Mother Baby, Pediatrics, or other adult units as needed (within scope)
    • Must comply with 75-mile radius rule for travel assignment (local RNs accepted at local rate)

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality, evidence-based neonatal nursing care in a Level II/III NICU setting
    • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using Epic EMR
    • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
    • Perform neonatal assessments, support respiratory management, IV/line care, and other NICU procedures within scope
    • Educate and support families throughout the NICU experience with clear communication and compassionate care
    • Float to Mother Baby, Pediatrics, or adult units as assigned to support staffing needs
    • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
